So sad to see religion devolve into intolerance (even if you are arguing out of a deeply held belief).
So sad to see a person trapped and twisted by his beliefs.

I was pulling on my bicycle socks this afternoon. just happened that they were the “Free Tibet” ones… It occurred to me that w/o Mr. Yauch and “the boys”, this social marketing scheme might not exist. So, his efforts to end genocide in Tibet were not directly and immediately successful, but he planted seeds and we’ve yet to see how that fully plays out. He used his fame to model social justice to us all. Namaste, dear man.

hahaha. laughed my way through your post. thanks. I teach HS science and often will sit (for brief periods – I’m always hopping up to address something)cross-legged on lab tables in the back of the room. It got back to me that “Ms. Graham just sits in the back and meditates” which first kind of annoyed me since they clearly were not recognizing how hard I am working conducting the happenings of a classroom of ca. 25 students. Then I realized that I was more annoyed that I was not capable of meditating while doing the aforementioned task.If only my students were right.

This looks pretty sick. If I can find a stream of it online, I will definitely check-out the pilot. It seems just cheesy enough to be enjoyable, but hopefully not too goofy. I like the nods to classic kung fu cinema in the trailer. Kind of curious to what degree Buddhism is incorporated into this. Still, I’m very interested to see this.

My name is Jordan, and I’m with TLC Book Tours. We coordinate online blog tours for authors and publishers. The tour I’m currently working on is the book “Where the Heart Beats”, written by art critic, Kay Larson. This biography (and cultural history) of the mid 20th century gay composer, John Cage, shows how Zen Buddhism transformed his life and shaped his music. Since you write about sub culture and zen buddhism on your blog, I thought this book might interest you and your readers.
