Deepak Chopra tweets responsibility for earthquake

“Had a powerful meditation just now,” he wrote yesterday. [...] “Caused an earthquake in Southern California… Was meditating on Shiva mantra & earth began to shake.  Sorry about that.”

Seriously, he wrote that. See it here. He had to be kidding, not knowing it was going to be as bad as it was, but still — kinda unfortunate.

    That’s embarrassing for all concerned.

On a somewhat lighter note concerning Chopra, if you haven’t seen this exchange with Chopra and a guy who actually knows something about quantum physics, it’s is a true pleasure to watch.

I don’t know much about Chopra, but it sounds like the sort of crass joke I’d make.

I once shook the windows of a large meditation hall going into a deep meditation. I set up a powerful vibration that started at the base of my spine, spread through my body, then connected with the floor, walls, and windows of the hall.

Then I realized it was too much fiber in my diet.
