The “Upper Middle Way”?

Maybe not as much as some would think. This graphic, showing different US religions’ members incomes, has some surprises in it.

Not to throw too serious of a bone in to the discussion here :^), but it’s important to keep in mind why Hindus are tilted towards the upper income bracket. One could safely say that all Hindus are Indian (minus a TINY minority). Most of the Indians who come to the US, either as temporary residents or those aspiring to citizenship, are from a professional caste that predisposes them to a certain income level by their education and skills. A large portion of them work in the IT industry or in business management. For the most part, they’ve already been filtered by our government to fit into a certain income level. There are many exceptions, but I think this is the general case.
