On the basis of the intro I expected the worst, but it doesn't look SO bad, especially that first B&W scene. And as for Franco being too good-looking, from what I've seen, Ginsberg was very attractive in his youth (not that he wasn't when he was older - I mean in the context of Hollywood cinema, of course), so I'm not convinced that's an issue.

In any case, will look forward to seeing the whole thing when I get a chance!

Doesnt anyone else think that Franko is just a bit too good looking to play Allen Ginsberg?
Too me this is disturbing. As a society are we so infatuated with beauty that we have to re-package our cultural trailblazers and artists to make them more palatable for the mainstream?
I see this happening more an more in movies now. This reminds me of the really weird Hayden Christensen as Bob Dylan thing in Factory Girl.

actually, while waiting for the clip to load, i was dubious -- but i found myself really getting into it. allen's words and persona come through, and transcend. i have to give franco credit. i think he's done a fine job, judging by what i saw here.
