It all looks good to me. I’m 29, and I say whatever non-violent means it takes to get people to take responsibility for their minds, bust it.

Also, ever heard of “MC Yogi”, who does a similar gig for the Hindu side of things?

Buddhism is meant to blend with and adapt to the predominant culture, I think. Like the Bon religion of Tibet and the mystical beliefs of the Thai people. Evolution of the presentation of Buddhism doesn’t detract from its message at all. I don’t personally agree with the drinking but the bar environment with live music and socializing seems awesome.

So temples are closing in Japan? Even if all the holy sites of buddhism are razed to the ground, nothing can be done to hurt or help the spreading of the Dhamma. It’s wholly beyond the scope of human influence, eternal, it’s our adamantium.

Western approaches have done the same thing, no? Just translating Buddhism to fit into culture…

I’m not so sure the measure should be meat in the seat, however.
