Yeah, my Japaense isn’t up to snuff, but I’d guess it’s just a pop song, that someone dubbed over the video. Could be wrong though. I am not a big fan of anime, but this is pretty cute.

The song is not Buddhist, it’s a remix of a song about a Japanese character called Analogue Bear. (=
But the blue-haired girl sure knows how to hit a mokugyo!

The characters are Vocaloids used in an animation program called Miku Miku Dance. Fans of Vocaloid characters use that program to make videos of songs created using the Vocaloid song generation program.
Analo-guma is analogue bear, a response of the community due to a Japanese organization called the National Association of Commercial Broadcasters in Japan mascot Chidejika(digital deer in support of digital tv) hating people creating things in the image of it.
