Ya gotta love everything about this Japanese video depicting a Buddhist statue made of 20,000 insects — the concept; the dramatic music; the canned, disgusted screaming in the background.

It took the guy 6 years to catch all the bugs… I get that part… but he must have killed them right? The statue seems rather oxymoronic (is that even a word) in that case since he had to kill them to “save their souls”… AND he made a Buddha out of the bugs he killed. While the statue is quite cool and looks awesome it just seems a little…. off.
