So, this is the new issue of the National Review, depicting Sonia Sotomayor on its cover as a pseudo-cartoon Buddha.
Um… why?

Do the Old Boys at the NR not know the difference between an Hispanic and an Asian? Or is this like the treatment that Obama’s gotten in the past? (One example, here.)
Either way… No one’s put her on such a pedestal. It’s just weird.
Sheesh.

WOW. Did they really have to include the exaggerated features of a WW2 propaganda poster? What an epic fail.

Yeah, watching the racism that’s been in the air ever since Obama tapped Sotomayer has been entertaining if a little sickening. She implied that the judiciary should be made up of a wider range of people than well to do white guys? The horror! And now she’s….Um, the Buddha I guess? The entire GOP seems to have jumped the shark a while back.

Didn’t know whether to email you to mention it or anything, but when I realised that the next Ubuntu release is going to be called ‘Karmic Koala’ I thought I might want to mention it!
