I generally try not to cover books here on the Horse — there are so many other, better places to find dharma-book coverage if you want it — but this video is a special case. It’s about Jaimal Yogis and his book Saltwater Buddha: A Surfer’s Quest to Find Zen on the Sea, from my alma mater, Wisdom Publications.
As with Hardcore Zen or One City (both also from Wisdom), it’s safe to say there’s never been a Buddhist book like this one before. Check it out.
You can pre-order the book from Wisdom here. And having read the book back when I was the marketing and publicity guy there, I’d say you might really wanna do that. Plus, you get to support a truly cool not-for-profit publisher dedicated to the preservation of the Dharma. A good deal, right?

Book looks awesome Rod, thanks for pointing it out. I love the direction Buddhists here in the US have taken… Punk Buddhists, Hardcore Buddhists… now Surfer Buddhists… it’s shaping up to be an interesting practice!
