“Punk rock Zen master” Brad Warner recently mused that his forthcoming book might be titled “Zen Wrapped in Karma Dipped in Chocolate.” Some of you who’ve been reading the Horse since its inception might get the reference. But if you don’t, it comes from a TV spot which just happens to be one of the great Dharma-Burgers of our time.
The ad is for Yoplait yogurt. In it, two women in a luxurious spa setting are swooning over their Yoplait, trying to come up with words that explain just how good it is. Finally, one of them describes the yogurt as “Zen, wrapped in karma, dipped in chocolate good.”
…and all the Buddhists hung their heads in a moment of defeat.

In other, totally unrelated news, fellow Buddhist (and composer of the legendary “Rockit”!) Herbie Hancock just won the the Album of the Year grammy.
